Something new.

I came home from work on Wednesday to a cement truck at the in-laws driving over into our yard. Seriously, all I could think was, "Our grass!!! O no, it's finally starting to come up! All that money down the drain." But, our grass is fine and we planted some more seed in a few little places. And I am very exited that this idea Dalan & I had for the back yard could come true so randomly. This is what we had in mind, yet we knew cement was not something that we could afford. So, the idea was pushed to the side until we could figure our something almost as good as cement. Our neighbor had called while I was at work and had extra cement that we could have. It was a good surprise & I can't wait to have backyard parties and BBQs.

Here is Dalan getting the dirt placed back around our little cement pad again.

Big thanks to the Olsen's for thinking of the Binghams.

two week mark

Theses little guys have gotten so big.

They have learned how to escape from their little dog house & from the looks of it didn't go in during all the rain.

Pepper is being a great mommy. She hates when I go and wake them up. Especially now that they are tall enough to eat while she is standing. Sorry Pep.

I am loving this picture. The cute puppy in the front & two other cute pups biting each other in the background.

And hitting. There is a lot of hitting, and biting and wrestling going on lately.

So, on paper . . . if everyone holds to their word. I have all of these adorable pups sold to good homes. I'd say that's record time.

Bigger. Cuter. Louder.

Here is a little video of our puppies crying & crying begging their mama for some more food after they just finished eating. We have some sweet puppies in our yard :)

The 2011 Graduate!

Saturday was the big day! Dalan graduated from Utah State University!

Thank you everyone for all of your love and support.

It was so much fun to celebrate with everyone.

Here we are before graduation . . .

Here is the garland banner I made for Dalan. It was hung up in our house and at our BBQ.

The candy jars I made, filled with blue candy. Go Aggies!

The blue drinks.

Dalan grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for all of our lovely guests on his new grill! (Thanks Mom & Dad & brothers & sisters!) The weather was so cooperative for us, the party turned out great.

I'm so proud of Dalan! He is so smart and so great at everything that he does.
I love you Dalan!
Thanks again to all of our family for your love & support!

Just Can't Get Enough

Seriously though. I got some pictures today of the little pups by themselves and I couldn't help but share.

on facebook and on the blog . . . .

We counted 4 girls and 3 boys :)

Pepper the Mommy

Here are the little pups. They finally came. I can only imagine how impatient I will be when I have my own little ones, but I was seriously about to explode waiting for these little guys to arrive. They are so so cute.

Pepper is being such a good mom.
If you know anyone who wants a puppy send them our way in about 6 weeks.
They will need good homes.

feminine and young and pretty

I wish I had pictures of the darling flower bed that Dal made for me on Saturday when he was working on our yard. I am so exited about it. But here I am at school, just before finals without a picture of it and instead of studying like a studious student I am planning my flower garden. It's a big deal. I want my flower garden to be feminine and young and pretty.

These are called, Gas plant or Burning Bush or Dictamnus.

The Daylilies. I have to have Daylilies. This color combination is so pretty, this orange and yellow and hot pink are my favorites.

St. John's Wort. I love these dainty little flowers. They are also a good cure for depression I've learned. Not that I have depression. I don't. But if someone did, I would have the cure. apparently. But aren't all flowers such a relief from winter. I think so. But these are officially.

Hyacinths. These are so pretty. The purple would balance well with my other colors and when I saw this picture on Pioneer Woman's blog a year ago I knew I needed these too.

I am fighting the urge to run off campus buy my flowers, run home to plant them and take pictures to prove it. I'm afraid that would be committing a suicide to the pretty flowers. Why in the world is it still so cold outside. Where is spring?

Legacy

So. Today I got the sweetest letter from one of my favorite volunteer sites, Legacy House of Assisted Living. Which also included $20 to Sizzlers, a nice unexpected bonus. They are just the nicest people and that letter brought me right to tears, happy tears of course. I just love helping out over there. I love the people that live there and the ones that work there. Seriously, there have been times when I have planned to stay for an hour and left after 3. Time just seems to fly. This letter has just made my day and I had to share, which made me realize that I haven't posted any stories about the ladies and gents I've met at Legacy. And let me tell you, I have some good ones.

1. Alice. Alice has Alzheimer's disease, as do the people I work with most often. She loves treats! We will be handing out cookies and she will ask for some for her mom and sisters and friends and whoever else pops into her head at the moment. If you tell her to eat hers first, she will begin to hide her cookie or cookies in her shirt. We have to make sure she gets one for each hand. She also really likes men. She will often hit on the younger men, either volunteers or CNAs. It's hilarious. A pick up line would be something like, "If I wait up for you tonight what will happen?"

2. Coral. Coral loves puzzles. BUT there are things you have to know before you do a puzzle with her. If you start to get more pieces than her, she will get so frustrated with you. She has to win the puzzle. Also, one time we had to do the puzzle completely upside down, matching the brown undersides of the pieces. It was nearly impossible. She hates men.

3. Lafaire. She had 5 boys and went back to school at Utah State with the youngest one alongside. She always gives me good advice for marriage. This one is my favorite, "Don't serve your husband too much or he'll get used to it. He should do his own laundry." ha ha

sorry for the long post of words and no pictures.
P.S. Dal and I missed a week and the puppies should come next week :)
