Dalan Rees

The fourth was so much fun, but mostly because I was able to have Dalan to myself for a WHOLE day! Awesome, right?! That doesn't even happen on Sundays! Here is our three picture run to get the perfect 4th of July waiting for the parade to start shot. . . .

Tongue out from Dalan and a big head from me . . . .

Perfect picture of Dalan and a  HUGE head from me, bummer . . .

And the final shot!

Dalan is just so fun to be around! I am the luckiest girl. We had such a fun week together. We went to the movies, had pizza and Root Beer Floats Saturday and had our first ma & pa meeting Sunday, which we ended by watching 17 Miracles. I can't wait for him to get back from Idaho today!

Family & the Fourth

The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday! This year I was lucky enough to have my family (well, some of them) visiting for some of Honeyville's pre-4th celebrations.
We went to the kid's rodeo last night and it was a blast! There was so much to watch, like, SOOO much, we were there for over 5 hours but anyway, kids of all ages were showing off their cowboy, roping & riding the night away.

My brother & sister entered the chicken chase, presumably copied from a favorite activity of ours in Melba, the chicken run ;)

They also did the Money Sheep & Money Calf. It was fun to watch. So much laughing. The strapped dollar bills onto the animals and the poor things got chased all over the arena by a hundred little kids.
Here is my sister watching the candy scramble for the littlest cowboys and cowgirls there.

I would recommend going to this! It is definitely something that I will be doing in the years to come. Maybe next year I will just go for a couple of hours instead of five . . . . but who knows :)
