The Nebraska Story of the Day

(sorry for the crazy set up of words. I'm trying to work out the kinks)
Here are the baby swallows that lived on our house in Nebraska. This is my favorite picture of them with their fuzzy little heads.

These were dangerous pictures to take.

One. Because I had to create a step
stool to be able to get the right angle.

Two. The mama bird.

This was one of those times.

This is the picture I snapped as
she dive bombed my head as I ran
screaming and running into the house.

Buckin' Bulls

It was Ag week a couple weeks ago and along with little piglets, sheep and goats came the mechanical bull.

I was too chicken to ride with the audience of Dalan's friends, but I gladly took pictures :) It was a lot of fun.

I married a stud. Dalan is good at everything he does. Like riding this bull.
He might not like that I said that on the blog. . . . but it's true. He even knows how to do most of my homework.

Yeah for Family Visits!

The other half of my family came to visit us this last weekend (except for Jalia, the only one who has missed out on both of the visits). It was a lot of fun! Kelsey and I played America's Next Top Model for a little bit.

Grace worked on scaring Dalan the whole time, he never managed to scare her back ;)

And the boys competed to be the bravest on the swings.

Then we picked lots and lots of raspberries and ate Dad and Kelsey's pizza. We had a blast! Who's next to visit us?!

Little things

These pictures are taken around the farm at various doors.

It may seem silly but I love the fancy door handles on the old barn doors.

It makes me want to put fancy knobs on everything.

I think I might . . .

The Scartlet Pimpernel

Dalan and I are taking USU 1330, Arts Symposium this year. We already took a visit to the Fine Arts Museum on campus. Which Dalan didn't really enjoy, even though we were our guide's favorites. No for real. She chose our art projects as her favorite, calling them/us minimalist, I was so exited. I wish I could show them to you but we didn't get to keep them.

Anyway
. Monday we went to watch the Scarlet Pimpernel. It was great!

I wish I had pictures of us dressed up all classy . . .but I didn't get any :(
I'll have to take pictures of the building next time we go too because it is so gorgeous, right along with the costumes and their voices.

Strolling down Memory Lane

This is the snake we found on our last night in Nebraska.

He was huge! I am very grateful that this was the closest a snake had ever come to our house.
We think he was living in the horse trailer.

I will have to sneak a picture of the snake that I saw by our Honeyville house just the other night. It was comparable to a worm.

It begins.

Now that we have fast internet it is time for me to catch up with all of the blog posts that I couldn't put up in Nebraska. There are so many I have no idea where I want to start, but I do know that I still want to post them :)

I'm starting here. This is one of my favorite sequences of pictures of Dalan roping.

I had them printed for Dalan's birthday.

And will soon have them up on the wall :)

I can't wait.

Have a good Labor Day weekend!

Proof

I feel like some of you may need some evidence that all my stories are true. That I did infact help Dalan and Pepper move 900 first time Heifers and all their little babies from pasture to pasture every 4-6 days. Here is the Ranch horse I used. Ol' Grey is what Dal and I called him.

He was like riding a barrel.

I really should have picked a smaller horse.

And here it is. A picture of me on Ol' Grey getting ready to go to work :)

Big City Vacation

Dalan took me on vacation the beginning of this week. I loved it. We went to Salt Lake City and explored the Gateway, Temple Square, IKEA and a BEES game.

I love this picture. Dalan is shaking his head no very very fast. Props to my camera for the clarity, I thought for sure it would be blurry.

We sat on the grass behind right field and we were right in the action for quite a few Home Runs.

This is our view.

The sister missionaries were very nice and took a picture of us in front of the temple. Walking around the temple was very relaxing and beautiful.
And . . . as a side note. I am blogging on our own internet connection and it was crazy fast. Loving it.
